Spend a perfect summer afternoon on the party deck under the majestic willow trees, at The Barn Restaurant and Bar. Join me for the 7th Annual Brew at The Barn, where master Home Brewers, Vintners and Soda Jerks in South Central Wisconsin share their Labors of Love.
The fun begins at 1 p.m., and lasts until 5:00. Similar to Brew at The Barn in the past, members of DUFF (Dells United Frequent Fermenters) and the Sauk Bluff-Hoppers will be on site sharing not only their fantastic brews, but information and tips on how to begin making your own-production, serving, sharing, and getting the maximum enjoyment from your finished product. There will also be some independent brewers from Baraboo, Madison, and the Milwaukee area, sharing their creations as well.
This event is open to literally anyone that enjoys making their own beverages-if you would like to enter beer, wine, mead, moonshine, or soda in this-not-at-all-serious competition, please let me know so I can reserve your place on the deck! There is no entry fee, and always room for one more!
At the request of everyone on-deck in 2015, once again, Bluesman Mark Tully will be adding his unique sound to the event. Mark plays traditional bare-bones Mississippi Delta, Texas, and Chicago style blues. He also performs original work, and occasionally 'reverse engineers' a classic rock tune, taking it back to its blues roots. Mark's music is the perfect accompaniment to an afternoon spent with good food, wonderful libations, and great friends. Music begins at 4:00, and lasts until 6:00 p.m. Join us!
As if all of that wasn't enough, bar-related items will be raffled near the end of the afternoon. Your admission gets you 3 raffle tickets, with more available for $1/each. Numerous beer signs, bells from New Belgium Brewery, a Fat Tire bike jersey, mixes from American Beer Bread, glassware, and lots of other beer and wine related items. Most exciting is the return of 'A Steak and A Date'. For a complete listing, check the Raffle Items page regularly-items will be added as acquired.
